Happy Fall Y'all - Stamped candle

Hello everyone. Happy Wednesday! I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far. :)
This week the Joy's Life DT was asked to create a project using the colors Orange, Green and Brown.  For some reason, I was struggling a bit trying to make something using only these colors.  I must have started at least 5 different projects before settling on the one I am sharing today.  It is actually quite simple, but I think it turned out pretty cute!
I used the stamping on tissue paper technique to apply the Happy Fall Y'all sentiment.
Here is a close up:

Supplies used:
Acorn and leaves: Cricut Create a Critter
Cuttlebug Mesh embossing folder
Sentiment: Joy's Life Happy Fall Y'all stamp set
Face stamps: Peachy Keen Faces Wide Eyed Kids (Acorn) and The Cornies (Leaves)
Ink: Stampin Up Basic Black and Chocolate Chip
Misc: Twine from The Twinery, hemp twine from stash, white gel pen

Challenges entered:
Thanks for stopping by today.  As always, I love and appreciate your comments. :)

Swatch Tag Birthday - Cameo and Cricut

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a fabulous week!
I am really excited about the project I posted today at the Joy's Life Design Team blog.  I had so much fun creating this little "swatch tag" birthday card, and, it was pretty simple to make as well!!  I used both my Silhouette Cameo and Cricut machines for this.  I really love my Cameo, but I still enjoy using my Cricut too!  I think they will be good friends!! :)
Here is the front tag:
This cute sentiment is from Barnyard Puns.

Here is the inside (backside of front tag, front side of 2nd tag)
The sentiment on the left is from Yummy Puns and the one on the right is from Wild Life Puns.

And finally, this is the backside of the second tag:
The "happy" and "Birthday" stamps are from the very versatile stamp set Everyday Occasions. (I hand wrote the belated)

Recipe:
Tags were cut from a cereal box (double cut w/blade at 10) with my Cameo. The tags are cut at 3"x4"
Barn and cake: Silhouette Online Store.
Skunk and Bee: Cricut Create a Critter Cartridge
Stamps: Joy's Life stamps

Thanks for stopping by today! As always, I love and appreciate your comments. :) Have a CRAFTY DAY!! Lori

My Pink Stamper Design Team Submission

Happy New Year!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, we certainly did.  The kids are back in school today, a bit sluggish this morning, but we made it!

Today I am posting a card I made to submit for the My Pink Stamper Design Team.  I am sooo excited to give this a shot.  I absolutely ADORE Robyn... she is THE ONE that got me started in card making.  I had actually intended on scrapbooking when I received my Cricut, but once I found Robyn on YouTube and watched her card tutorials, it was all over!!!  :)  In the last two years, sadly I have not scrapped one page, BUT I have made A LOT of cards and my family and friends always enjoy getting them. It has been incredibly fulfilling and I love, love paper crafting!! My resolution this year is to start scrapbooking, so I am excited about that!

The requirements of the submission are:
Challenge: Make a card, scrapbook page, or other Cricut project with your favorite cartridge using my favorite colors......  Pink, Green, Brown, and other optional color of your choice.

Being on Robyn's DT would be an honor and a dream come true, so I am definately keeping my fingers crossed. :)   So with out further ado..... here is my card. Let me know what you think???

This card was made using my Imagine and it was super easy to do.  Here is the recipe:

Owl:  Create a Critter cart, cut at 2.7". Pattern paper and pink background from Better Together cart and brown wings are SU creamy caramel inked with SU Chocolate Chip.  The eyelashes are actually from an SU punch, Spring Bouquet, in which I cut the flower in quarters and applied to the back of googlie eyes!

Branch: Create a Critter, cut at 2.7". The limb is SU Creamy Caramel, inked with SU Chocolate Chip and the leaves are cut using pattern paper from the Imagine More Cards cart.

Background: The frame is cut at 3.9" using a standard shape on the Imagine. The blue color is from the Imagine More Card cart.

Card Base: Textured brown paper from my stock

Ribbon: SU Certainly Celery 1/4" grossgrain.

Sentiment Stamp: My Pink Stamper "Punny-licious" stamp set

More Than Favors Challenge Card

Hello, and Happy Sunday!  I hope you all have enjoyed your weekend... it seemed to just fly by for me. I wanted to share a card I made for the challenge over at More Than Favors. The Wacky Wednesday challenge was to make a card using a critter/animal. When I got the PinkByDesign Country Living stamps, I just knew I needed to make this card for my BIL because he is always saying "Holy Cow" so this worked out perfect! I was also able to use my Peachy Keen face stamps too, which I adore!! I like how this turned out,  I hope he does too! Thanks for stopping by.... Have a Crafty day!

Made By Momo Tuesday Challenge #22

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  So tell me.... Did you do it?? Did you buy the Imagine?? I am still in disbelief that I actually got suckered into it. LOL  I really thought no way am I getting it right now, but with the extra carts, plus an additional one from the Circle AND flex pay... I caved. Still have NO idea where I am going to put tho. :)  Anyway on to the card. Mari at Made by Momo is having her Tuesday challenge in which we are to make a Just Because card (not from the cartridge JB) but for just sending to say Hello, Thinking of You, Miss You... etc.  I made this card for my Circle Pal (Hi Cindy!!) on the CC MB. I used the adorable Create A Critter cart for the cuts and the cute little faces are from none other than Peachy Keen Stamps! Thank you so much for stopping by. I would love it if you would leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Hope you have a Crafty Day!!

Another fun challenge at FCCB!

Hello!  Hope you are having a wonderful day!  Here is the card I entered in the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #20. The challenge was At the Zoo, and we are to create a card or project using a Cricut cut animal.  My husband has been very stressed at work lately and I wanted to make him a card to let him know how much I love him. So, when I saw this challenge I wanted to somehow incorporate both! I came up with that catchy little sentiment and went from there! After looking at it, I realize it could have been entered in last weeks PKS Sketch challenge... must have still been in my subconsious mind!! Anyway... I am really happy at how this turned out and hopefully it will put a smile on my honey's face!! Thank you for taking the time to stop by.  Happy Crafting!!

Bitten by the Bug 2 Challenge

Hello.... Here is a card I did for the Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge.  We were supposed to use either the cat or dog image from the Going Places cartridge or any other cartridge. Since I don't own Going Places, I decided to use this adorable Poodle from Create a Critter.  I was inspired by a video I saw on A Place for  My Cards   http://aplaceformycards.blogspot.com/2010/07/cafe-anniversary-part-1-cards-by.html  I am excited about using my markers again!  I will be giving this card to a very special little girl who is turning 8 next Sunday.  I really like the way it turned out,  so hopefully she will enjoy it as well.  Please let me know what you think.... I love to get comments!  Thanks so much.  Happy Crafting.
