Sweet Baby card

Hello crafty friends! Happy Wednesday to ya.  :)  Just a couple more days and my DD's are on Spring Break!  I can not believe how quickly we are breezing through this school year... it's crazy!!!

Anyway, today I am sharing the card I did for my post over at the Joy's Life Design Team blog.  We were asked to make a card that "moves".   I told myself that I NEED to start using some of the cartridges that I have never used before, so the first one I came across was Baby Steps.  This is such a cute cartridge.. I can't believe I have never used it!!  When I saw this adorable little girl sleeping on the moon, I instantly thought of Rock a Bye Baby.  I decided the easiest way to have the baby rock was to hang the cut from some twine so it could swing back and forth. I attached it to a little star button and it worked perfectly!

In motion:

Sentiment stamps: Joy's Life Everyday Occasions (can be found here)
Cricut cartridge:  Baby Steps
Misc: twine, buttons, I Rock gems, stickles, white gel pen

Hop on over to Joy's Life Design Team blog and see what awesome projects the DT has to share with you.

Make a Wish

Hello my crafty friends! Today was my day to post over at the Joy's Life Design Team blog.   We were asked to make a card or layout using cool folds.  I was so excited about this because I have never made a card beyond just folding it in half!! LOL!  I decided to go with an easel card since I have been wanting to make one of those FOREVER!!  I don't know why I waited so long to give this a try, it really is so simple to do!

I have to say tho, this is NOT one of my favorite cards I have done.  I was having a serious creative block and no matter what I did with the card, I just was never really happy.  Plus, it seems so many little things went wrong along the way... It's a wonder I even had this card done in time.  Well enough of that negativity! LOL! Here is my card, I hope it's not as bad as I think. :)

Make a Wish sentiment is from Joy's Life "Your So Punny", which you can view and purchase here.

Cricut cartridges:  Simply Charmed (cake),  Phrases (Happy Birthday)
Cricut Imagine cartridge:  Bubblegum Stripes and Baby Boutique for patterned paper
Paper: Papertrey Ink Raspberry Fizz (card base) Coordinations Asst.. Pack (mint green)
Cuttlebug folders: Swiss dot and Herringbone
Misc:  ribbon, twine button, white gel pen, SU Chocolate Chip marker

St. Patricks Birthday card! / Joy's Life St. Patty's Blog Hop

Top of the day to ya!!   Happy St. Patty's Day everyone! Welcome to the Joy's Life St. Patrick's Day blog hop. If you just came over from the very talented Laura's blog, then you are in the right place.  If you just happened to check into today, why dont' you join in on the fun and start from the beginning.  There is a lot of inspiration, not to mention yummy blog candy, along the way!

Today is one of my BFF's birthday, so I thought I would make her a cute little card celebrating both occasions. :)  It was so easy to create the perfect sentiment using Joy's Life Everyday Occasion and Holiday Occasion stamp sets, which can be found here.

I had a lot of different ideas about what to do with the card, but in the end, I settled on this:

I wanted to put a rainbow on the card (since leprechauns love rainbows you know!), but since it was her birthday, I thought it would be fun to add a rainbow made of balloons!!!  I was so happy when I realized I had twine to match each color too!! Woo Hoo!  I can't wait to give her, her card... I hope she likes it! :)

Now it wouldn't be a blog hop without some blog candy would it???  If you would like to have a chance to win these fun goodies, I would love for you to follow my blog and leave me a comment and a way to contact you if you are the winner!

I hope you are enjoying our hop today... your next stop is the fabulous Megan.

Banner Birthday!!

Hello my crafty friends!  Today is my turn to post on the Joy's Life Design Team blog. We were asked to create a project using either the  Wild Life Puns or Your So Punny stamp set.  As soon as I saw the stamp I used today, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. :)  Although the Cricut Craft Room gave me fits when making this card, I am really happy with the way it came out.

This card was created using the Cricut Imagine and several Imagine cartridges.

Imagine Cartridges:  Yummy (banner shape), TC Baby Boutique (H A P P Y and background pattern), All Wrapped Up (Birthday) and TC Black and White (banner pattern)

Stamped Sentiment:  Joy's Life "Your So Punny" You can find it here , plus all of the other awesome sets

Pawsitively Purrfect Birthday

Hello crafty friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! :)  Did you remember to set your clocks back??  I love that we will now be having daylight for an extra hour, but losing that one hour of sleep is a killer for a few days, especially for my girls. :(

Anyway, today I am a guest designer on the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog!  I am so flattered and honored that I was asked to be a part of their Spotlight Sunday and guest design for the Challenge Me Monday challenge.  The challenge this weeks is "Like a Lion". Make a project using a cat, lion or tiger; you must include at least 1 Cricut cut.  There are a lot of fun Cricut cuts that you could use for this challenge, so I hope you will join in this week!   Here is my card... I hope you like it!

Cricut cartridges:  Create a Critter (cat and pillow), Doodlecharms (birthday hat), Elegant Edges (background shape), Cricut Imagine All Wrapped Up (pillow pattern)
Stamps: Joy's Life Lots of Pun (Pawsitively Purrfect)  and Everday Occasions ("wishing you a" and "Birthday"
Misc: I-Rock gems, Viva Pearl Pen, Stickles, white gel pen, black jounaling pen, sheer white ribbon

I hope you all have a fabulous week!! Thanks for stopping by today! As always, I love and appreciate your comments. :) Have a CRAFTY DAY!! Lori

Hey Chickie - DT post

Hello my crafty friends!!
Today is such an awesome day for me!!  Why you ask??  Today is my very FIRST day posting as a DT member for Joy's Life!!  I am sure most of you know who Joy is, but if you don't... you are in for a real treat! Not only does Joy share totally cool ideas/projects on her blog, but she also has AMAZING stamps!!

For our first post, it was "anything goes".  I decided to use one of my very favorite stamp sets "Lots of Pun".  When I saw the "Hey Chickie!" saying, my mind instantly went to the cute little chick image on the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge.  The funny thing is, when I first made this card, I accidently used the "duck" image instead, and for a few days I kept looking at my card thinking something was just not quite right with it. I finally realized that the "beak" of the chick was actually a "duckbill"..... wrong animal Lori!! LOL!!  Well, thankfully I figured that out before I actually posted it. :)  So here is my do-over project for today...

Sentiment stamp:  Joy's Life "Lots of Pun"  you can find it here
Cricut cartridges: Create A Critter (Chick), Everyday Paperdolls (barn), MS All Occas. (grass)
Cricut Imagine Carts:  The Good Old Days and Bubblegum Stripes for all patterned papers
Cardstock:  SU Craft (card base)  Colorbok textured white: Barn trim and fence
Misc: twine, button, hemp, white gel pen and SU Chocolate Chip marker

Thanks for stopping by  today. I would love it if you would stop over at Joy's Life and see the other fabulous projects the DT has done.
Have a Happy Crafty Day!!
