love you to the core - shaped card

Hello everyone!!
Happy, Happy Wednesday!!
I have not been able to craft for almost two weeks, so it felt great to get back in and create a little something for my post over at the Joy's Life Design Team Blog.
This week is "shaped" cards for friends.  I just happen to have two of THE best friends EVER, and I wanted to make a card to let them know how much they mean to me. So here it is:
That awesome sentiment is from Joy's "It's All Fall Puns". Here is a closer look at it:
Love, Love the fonts Joy used... don't you??

I created this card using an image I found at the Silhouette online store.  I decided to adhere it to a white background, which I created with the offset feature on SSDE.  I used print and cut, with digital papers I purchased at Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.
The die cut stitched label is from My Creative Time "Vintage Stitched Label Dies".
I added a little white gel pen stitching, and some hemp twine to finish the look.

I hope you liked my card today!
Thank you so very much for stopping by, it means a lot to me!

Have a happy, crafty day!!
As always, I love and appreciate your comments. :)

Joy's Life Summer in 3D Blog Hop!

Hello crafters!
Welcome to the Joy's Life Summer in 3D Blog Hop!
You should have just come from the very talented Maria's blog, A Simple Five.
If you just happened to stop over today and would like to join in on the hop, head right on over to Joy's Life.com, right here.
You are sure to see some fun and inspirational projects, and some yummy blog candy along the way!! :)

The first thought that came to mind when I was thinking about summer was the beach!  Maybe it's because we had just come from the beach when I learned the theme for this hop. Lol! We spent a lot of time looking for seashells, and enjoyed watching the pelicans diving into the water to catch fish... it was quite a sight to see! I was very much inspired by our day at the beach, and wanted to incorporate these things into my project. Here is what I came up with:
This fun box is a file from the SVG Attic.  I did make some alterations to it to make it reflect our special day.
The starfish, sand dollar, sea horse and pelican are all images I found at the Silhouette online store.
Here is a closer look at Joy's awesome stamp "shore do miss you", which is from the truly AWESOME stamp set "Pun in the Sun", which you can find right here.

And here is another angle of the box.  Although putting this together was a little tricky at times, I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. :)   I hope you like it!!

All the patterned paper is from digital paper packs I found on Etsy from Prettiful Designs.

Now for a little blog candy!  :)
Since I had to leave town unexpectedly, I was not able to get any shopping done, so I am going to be offering a little MYSTERY blog candy!!
I promise it will be fun and crafty! It will be Christmas in July... right?? LOL!!

Just leave a comment on today's post letting me know what your favorite summer activity is, and I will draw a winner using Random.org.
If you are a follower of my blog, leave a second comment letting me know and double your chance at the blog candy!  :)

Thank you so much for joining us today!
Your next stop in the hop is the amazing Megan at Thoughts of Scrapbooking.

Have a CRAFTY DAY!!

3D Kitty Gift Card/Treat holder and Blog Hop Winner!!!

Hello everyone!
This is my second post of the day, because yet again, I am super late in finishing my project for the Peachy Keen Challenge! :(
And, I also need to announce the winner from the Joy's Life Red, White and Blue blog hop.

First of all, here is my project:
I found this cute kitty gift bag/treat holder at the Silhouette online store.
I had to make the cut file a little wider than normal to accommodate that super cute kitty face from the PK stamp set "Here Kitty Kitty".
In doing so, it also was the perfect fit for a gift card to go inside:
I also added this cute tag from My Creative Time "Teeny Tag Greetings":
I am not sure it shows it total cuteness in the photos, but I really love it and can't wait to give it to someone for their birthday!! :)

Now onto the winner of the Joy's Life Red, White and Blue Blog hop!
I am sorry for the delay in the announcement, however, we had a family emergency last week and I honestly forgot.
Using Random.org, the winning comment was #21:
now following you with blog lovin!

Congratulations teachdanz! Please contact me at got2bcrafting at gmail dotcom with your address. :)

Picnic Fun - 3x3 note cards and holder

Hello everyone!
It's Wednesday,so you know what that means??
It's my day to post over at the Joy's Life Design Team blog.
This week the DT is creating projects with a "picnic" theme. I have to tell ya, I scrapped three different projects before I settled on the one I am sharing today. I sure do hope you like it!
First I created a set of six note cards:

And then I created a cute little box to put them in:

This would make a great gift to give someone, or to keep for yourself. :)

I used the following stamp sets:
"just a note" is from Tag You're It-Set Two
"thanks a bunch", "olive you", "orange you sweet" and "say cheese" are from That Tastes Punny
"love you to the core" is from It's All Fall Puns
You can find these stamp sets, and many more, right here.

All of the images, with the exception of the orange, apple and olive, are from Miss Kate Cuttables - Picnic Fun collection
The orange, apple and olive are from the Silhouette online store.
The 3x3 stationary box is also from the Silhouette online store.

You're a Smart Cookie

Hello everyone!
Happy Wednesday!
Here is a card I posted over at the Joy's Life Design Team Blog. The card is based off of the sketch for the Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge.

I created the base by welding two circles together in SSDE. The cookie image, 3D bow and banner are all from the Silhouette online store. The fun sentiment I used is from Joy's Life "Yummy Puns", and that adorable face stamp is from Peachy Keen "In the Garden Face Asst."

I donut know how.....

Hi there everyone!
Happy Happy Wednesday!!
Today I am sharing the card I made for my post over at the Joy's Life Design Team Blog.
This week is "Anything Goes" for the Joy's Life DT, and it is the perfect time for me to use a stamp I have been eyeing for quite some time.
Hopefully I won't have to use this card anytime soon, but it's always good to have a "belated" birthday card on hand. :)
That cute sentiment is from Joy's "That Tastes Punny" stamp.
And that adorable face is from the Peachy Keen stamp set In the Garden Face Asst.!

The donut SVG is from the Silhouette online store. The patterned paper is from a digital paper pack I found on Etsy at Prettiful Designs called Pink Bubblegum. The banner die is from My Creative Time Vintage Stitched Label Die set. And, the embossing folder I used is the Cuttlebug Modern Wallpaper.

I will be entering the following challenges:
Peachy Keen Stamps: Anything Goes

I hope you enjoyed my card today.
I wish you and your family a
very HAPPY AND SAFE INDEPENDANCE DAY!!
