Tree-mendous wishes.... all a glitter!

Hello my crafty friends!  Today I am sharing my project I created for my post over at the Joy's Life Design Team blog.
This week the DT is going "Glittery and Bright". Well, I just happen to LOVE anything glittery, so this was perfect for me!!
I have to say, trying to capture sparkly glitter in a picture is NOT easy... especially when it's kind of dreary outside.  I don't know if you can tell, but I used glitter paper on the background and on the Santa hat. I also added EXTRA glitter on the tree and the snow!!
I stamped the sentiment on shimmery pearl paper:

Supplies used:
SVG: Scrapping Bug Designs
Sentiment Stamp: Joy's Life "Oh Christmas Puns"
Glitter paper: DCWV Christmas Glitter pack
Cardstock Base: Core'dinations Pearls
Black ink: PTI True Black
Misc: Stickles glitter, bakers twine, Goosebumps, and white gel pen

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
I wish you all a very happy and SAFE holiday season!

As always, I love and appreciate your comments. :) Have a CRAFTY DAY!! Lori

Did you notice the embossed background??
This look is accomplished by using white core cardstock and a sanding block.
I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the cardstock:

And the final look after sanding:
You can also emboss your die cuts to add texture, like this:

I used Joy's "Oh Christmas Puns" for the adorable sentiment:
Aren't those fonts amazing??
I just love that stamp!!

Oh Snap! - Gingerbread Treat Bag Topper

Hello crafters,
 Happy Wednesday to ya!!!
Today I am sharing the project I created for my post at the Joy's Life Design Team Blog.
Every since I got my Joy's Life "Oh Christmas Puns" stamp set, I have been wanting to create something using the stamps I used on my project today. I knew exactly what I wanted to do, except originally it was going to be a card. When I found out this week we were creating "food" projects , I thought this would work perfectly for a treat bag topper.

I just think these two stamps together are kind of funny! :)  One moment all happy and singing and then next moment... well, you can see what happened! LOL!

There is actually three stamps used.
The "fa la la la la" and "Oh snap!" are from the "Oh Christmas Puns" and the "..." is from the "Everyday Occasions" set.
You can find all of Joy's products, right here.

Supplies used:
Gingerbread men: Silhouette Online Store
Sentiment Stamps: Joy's Life
Paper: My Minds Eye
Face Stamps: Peachy Keen Stamps
Ink: PTI True Black
White trim on gingerbread: Snow Writer
Misc: Stickles, SU Brads, white gel pen

We just got our Christmas tree yesterday, and I always like to have at least one new ornament to add to the tree every year.  This year I thought it would be nice to make a special ornament for my husband.  When I saw Joy's Wintery Puns stamp set, I knew I had found the perfect stamp!! :)
Here is a closer look at that adorable stamp:

I also added a couple of cute stamps (from the same stamp set) on the back as well:

It was really difficult to get a good picture of the image inside the ornament because of the glare, so here is what it looked like before I put it inside:

I love that I can always find the perfect sentiment for my projects with Joy's stamp sets!!
You can find all of her awesome stamps at the Joy's Life products page.

Now, how about a little blog candy??

Hand Santa-tizer Bottle Display & Blog Hop Winner Announced

Hello my crafty friends!!
I am glad to be back posting after my little break last week.  I had such a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family, and we had very  dear friends staying with us for the week. Unfortunately, that did not leave any time for crafting, except to finish up my project  for my post over at Joy's Life Design Team Blog, which I am also sharing here today.

Every since I got my new "Oh Christmas Puns" stamp set, I have been wanting to create something using this "Hand Santa-tizer" stamp. I just think it is too cute!

I had so much fun creating the little outfits for the Santa and Elf bottles. (GermX and Purell hand sanitizers).

I altered an image from the Silhouette Online store to create the display box. It was originally an Advent Calendar Block Stand, but I added the cutouts to hold the  hand sanitizer bottles:
I know, you can see where I messed up the first time and cut the holes in the wrong space!! LOL! :(

Supplies used:
Silhouette Online Store 3D Advent Calendar Block Stand: altered to create bottle display
Pattern Paper: DCWV Christmas Glitter Stack (for display) and DCWV Christmas Stack (elf outfit)
Cardstock: Bazzill Texured
Stamped Sentiments: Joy's Life
"Hand Santa-tizer" from Oh, Christmas Puns
"Merry Christmas" from Wintery Puns
Ink: PTI True Black
Stampin Up: scallop punch (santa suit trim) and Hodge Podge Antique Brass (belt buckle)
Misc: glitter, ribbon, eyelet

Finally, I must apologize for not posting the winner of the Joy's Life Blog Hop. Everything has been so crazy busy lately, and it truly slipped my mind.  So, on with the show!!
I used Random.org to pick the winner. And the lucky comment number is.........#15

Very pretty!Love it!
Have a wonderful Monday,

Happy Thanksgiving - Humorous card

Hello my crafty friends!!
Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only 8 days away??  Crazy, right??
And only 9 more days until Black Friday! Woo Hoo!

Today I am sharing a card that I posted over at the Joy's Life Design Team Blog. This card was inspired by the wild turkeys that roam our neighborhood. No, I DO NOT live in a rural area, I live in town, and on a pretty busy street.  There are some open areas nearby, but not that close by that you would expect turkeys to be in your yard! :)
Every time I see these turkeys, I imagine this is how they feel (especially this time of year):

Hee Hee!! Cracks me up! :)

Here is a closer look at the stamp I used:
This stamp is from Joy's Life It's All Fall Puns. There are so many fun stamps on this set, you should go check them out.
Don't forget, Joy's new Christmas stamp set  "Oh Christmas Puns" is now available as well.

Supplies used:
Turkey image: Silhouette online store
Sentiment stamp: Joy's Life It's All Fall Puns
Paper: Bazzil
Ink and button: Stampin Up Chocolate Chip
Cuttlebug Embossing folder (sign): Distressed Stripes
Misc: hemp and Glossy Accents

Joy's Life Tags & Bags Blog Hop

Hello crafters!
Before I begin with the Joy's Life Hop, I want to thank all the courageous men and woman who have dedicated their lives to protecting our country. You are ALL heroes to me, and I will be forever grateful for your service.

If you are joining us today for the Joy's Life Tag's and Bags Blog Hop, you should have just come over from the fabulous Megan's blog.  If not, and you would like to hop along with us, you can start right here at Joy's Life.com.

I decided to create a fun little treat bag, along with a tag from Joy's Yummy Puns stamp set. I love the variety of stamps on this set!!

Using my Cameo, and Silhouette Studio DE, I made a tree cut out on the front of the treat bag to show the candy inside:

Here is a closer look at the tag:

I plan on making some of these little bags for both of my daughter's teachers for Christmas. I hope they like them!! :)

Now, onto the best part...LOL!!
How about some blog candy!!!

Just leave me a comment on today's post, and I will pick a winner using Random.org on Friday, November 16th.

Happy Fall Y'all - Tag with home decor project

Hello my friends....Happy Wednesday!
Today I am sharing the project I created for my post at the Joy's Life Design Team blogThis week the DT is creating "Gift Tag" projects. So, with that in mind,I thought I'd make a special little gift for my daughter's teacher to put on her desk to spruce it up a bit. :)

I used one of the adorable stamps from Joy's "It's All Fall Puns" stamp set:

Since the stamp is really a single line sentiment, and was too long to fit within the space, I used the masking technique to create a two line sentiment and it worked perfectly!!

You can find this stamp set, along with Joy's brand new release "Oh Christmas Puns" right here.

Supplies used:
Cornstalk, pumpkins and tag: Silhouette online store
Sentiment stamp: Joy's Life "It's All Fall Puns"
Ink: Stampin Up Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, and Summer Sun
Twine: The Twinery
Misc: Button, hemp twine, ribbon

3D Haunted House - Tealight Holder

Hello my crafty friends!
It's my turn to post over at the Joy's Life Design Team blog today.
This week the DT is creating 3D projects. I got this cool haunted house file about a month ago and was so excited to get the chance to use it! I had such a blast making this house, I think there are just so many fun things you can do to make it different.
I added some ghosts and the moon to this one:

I holds 3 tealight candles in the back. Isn't it cool how it lights up??
It may be hard to see, but I used a spider web folder on the main part of the house:

And some more embossing on the chimney:
