Hello, Happy Monday!!

Today is my design team post for Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party hosted by Tara of Craftin Desert Divas! Every other Monday will mark the beginning of a new semi-weekly linky party and you could win fabulous prizes!!

This linky party theme is Shaped Cards.
The sponsors are: Too Cute By Jessica ($20), Lovebug Creations ($5), and Robins Nest.
The more you link up, the better chance you have to win.  Visit Craftin Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along.

Here is the project I created for the Linky Party:

I stamped the frog with an OLD Stampin Up stamp set I have had for ages. (It was great using something I've had forever that never gets any attention anymore! LOL!)

I found this cute card shape at the Silhouette online store.  The designer paper is from Stampin Up, also from a LONG time ago! I was proud of myself using so much old stash!!  I inked the edges and added some buttons for a a little extra detail.
This card was made for a friend to give to a coworker who is having a little boy.  :)
I hope she likes it!!

We would love to see your shaped card creations, so please link up with us at Craftin Desert Divas.

Sweet Friend - CDD

Hello, Happy Monday!!

Today is my design team post for Craft It Up & Link It Up Linky Party hosted by Tara of Craftin Desert Divas! Every other Monday will mark the beginning of a new semi-weekly linky party and you could win fabulous prizes!!

This linky party theme is Winter.
The sponsors are: KaDoodle Bug Designs ($15), Cardz TV (stamp set), and Mariams Crafting Supplies-$5 credit (not ATG or shipping)
The more you link up, the better chance you have to win.  Visit Craftin Desert Divas for all the rules and to play along.

Here is the project I created for the Linky Party:

I added some Liquid Applique to the trim of her coat and skates for some added texture:
This little cute skater is from an old retired Kadoodle Bug Design file titled Snow Beauty. I added a snowball for her to sit on because I always thought it kind of looked like she was sitting anyways! LOL!
I, of course, had to add a Peachy Keen face, and this one is from the Princess Asst Face set.
The papers are from a My Minds Eye 6x6 Paper Pad Be Merry.
I used an embossing folder I got from Stampin Up a long time ago... don't know if they have it anymore. And the felt snowflake is from SU as well. :)
The tag and sentiment are from My Creative Time Teeny Tag Greetings.
I added a little twine, inking and white gel pen for accents, and there you have it!!
I thought it turned out pretty darn cute!!

I hope you will be able to link up with us at Craftin Desert Divas.

I donut know how.....

Hi there everyone!
Happy Happy Wednesday!!
Today I am sharing the card I made for my post over at the Joy's Life Design Team Blog.
This week is "Anything Goes" for the Joy's Life DT, and it is the perfect time for me to use a stamp I have been eyeing for quite some time.
Hopefully I won't have to use this card anytime soon, but it's always good to have a "belated" birthday card on hand. :)
That cute sentiment is from Joy's "That Tastes Punny" stamp.
And that adorable face is from the Peachy Keen stamp set In the Garden Face Asst.!

The donut SVG is from the Silhouette online store. The patterned paper is from a digital paper pack I found on Etsy at Prettiful Designs called Pink Bubblegum. The banner die is from My Creative Time Vintage Stitched Label Die set. And, the embossing folder I used is the Cuttlebug Modern Wallpaper.

I will be entering the following challenges:
Peachy Keen Stamps: Anything Goes

I hope you enjoyed my card today.
I wish you and your family a
very HAPPY AND SAFE INDEPENDANCE DAY!!

Thanks for stopping by today! As always, I love and appreciate your comments. :) Have a CRAFTY DAY!! Lori

Enjoy the Summer - 3d Beach Bag gift/favor box

Hello everyone!
Happy (almost) Summer!
Can you believe there are only 2 more days until it's officially summer? Woo Hoo!!
This week the Joy's Life Design Team is celebrating the beginning of summer, and  nothing says "summer" to me like a day at the beach! So in honor of beach season, I made this cute little beach bag, with a pair of sunglasses to finish it off:

This makes a great little gift box (or favor box) too!

I found this great beach tote at the Silhouette online store, as well as the sunglasses.  The beach tote was altered to accommodate the wicker handle I added. (The original file does have a handle on it, but I removed it.)
The sun was created with die from the My Creative Time Build a Banner Kit.
The paper I used is from Echo Park.
The adorable face stamp is from the new Peachy Keen stamp set In the Garden face asst.
And, of course, the sentiment I used is from Joy's Life Pun in the Sun stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today! As always, I love and appreciate your comments. :) Have a CRAFTY DAY!! Lori

You're a GREAT CATCH

Hello!! Happy Wednesday!
Today is my day to post over at the Joy's Life Design Team blog, so I thought I'd share my project here with you as well.
This week the DT is creating "masculine" cards or projects.  If you are like me, this is not an easy task!  LOL!  Thankfully I found this cute SVG at the Silhouette online store:

The entire card, minus the seaweed, is from the "fish catch 5x7 card" . The seaweed is from the "underwater scene".
The fun stamped sentiment is from Joy's Life "Wild Life Puns" stamp set.

I will be giving this card to my hubby!!

Thanks for stopping by today! As always, I love and appreciate your comments. :) Have a CRAFTY DAY!! Lori

Heard you caught a bug

Hello crafters!
It's Wednesday, and my day to post over at the Joy's Life Design Team Blog.
This week the DT is creating projects using recycled/upcycled items. I actually knew what I wanted to do for my card, but wasn't sure how I was going to incorporate the "recycle" part. I literally walked around my house and craft room trying to find some things I could use, and this is what I came up with:

Packaging from some MS Glitter, an old wedding favor of mine, and a box from some skin care.
Here is what they turned into:
I actually ended up cutting out two of the acrylic jars.
And here is the finished card:

Don't you just love that sentiment??
This stamp is from one of Joy's new stamp sets "Punny Animals".

Supplies used:
Bug image and net handle: Silhouette online store
Sentiment stamp: Joy's Life Punny Animals
Jar and Lid: My Creative Time - Stitched Chunky Jar Dies
Stampin Up Label punch

When I grow up.....

Hello again!!
Ok... it's official, I have broken my blog post record!  4 cards in 3 days!! Woo Hoo!!
By the skin of my teeth, I have completed my card for the Peachy Keen Challenge. :)
So, before time runs out, and I better make this short so I can go submit my entry!

I used a couple of different cuts to create this card.  The girl pulling the wagon is from KaDoodle Bug Designs "Apple Orchard Girls",
the little baby girl in the wagon is from the Silhouette online store.
The sentiment is a combination of two stamps. The "Sis" stamp is Joy's Life Mother and Daughter stamp set, and the rest of the sentiment is from the Peachy Keen SOTM June 2012.
Peachy Keen faces: Wide Eyed Kids and Just Baby Faces
Well, I gotta go submit now. :)

Thanks for stopping by today! As always, I love and appreciate your comments. :) Have a CRAFTY DAY!! Lori

LOVE, LOVE this new set!!  :)

I found this cute little jar of baby food at the Silhouette Online Store, then added the peas on the front, also from Silhouette, to go with the sentiment.

Happy egg hunting - Guest Diva

Hello crafters!
I am super excited today because I was asked to be a Guest Diva over at the Die Cuttin Divas Weekly Challenge Blog.  The challenge today is to create a project using ribbon and embossing. Now I realize this should be pretty easy to do right??? Well, I have not used ribbon on a card in over 6 months or more!! I am more of a twine and hemp kind of gal. :)  It's not that I don't love the way ribbon looks on a project, it just I CAN NOT tie a bow to save  my life! As you will see on my card today!! LOL!!
See what I  mean??
I really LOVE my card, but that bow is definitely lacking!! :)
I hope you will head over to the Die Cuttin Divas Weekly Challenge Blog and join in on the fun!!

Here is what I used to create my card:
Card Base: Silhouette Online Store (a Lori Whitlock file) Card Kit Ornate Flower
Bunny with wagon: KaDoodle Bug Design (Kristi W Design) retired file
