Birthday wishes - Tear Bear card

Hello and Happy Wednesday!!
This has been such a fun month of crafting for me.  Everything I have done has been "NEW" to me; new products, new ideas, and new techniques.   I have always LOVED those cute little tear bears, but I never knew how one was created.  So, since this week the Joy's Life Design Team was asked to create projects using a technique we have never tried before, I thought this would be the perfect time to figure out how it's done!
I watched a few videos on YouTube, purchased some supplies, and this is how my first tear bear turned out:

I was really happy with the final result.  I just love that face!!  I think I have found a new passion! LOL!!

This sentiment was created using Joy's Everyday Occasions stamp set.  I have said it before, and I will say it again..... this is a definite MUST HAVE stamp set.  With all the different word choices, the possibilities are endless.
You can see this awesome set right here.

Supplies used:
Tear Bear Pattern:  The Beary Scrap
Mulberry Paper: The Mulberry Bear
Card Base:  Criss Cross Lattice SVG from Silhouette Store
Sentiment stamp: Joy's Life Everyday Occasions
Stampin Up punch: Designer Label
Misc: Scrap felt (dress) ribbon, button and rhinestone from stash

Thanks for stopping by.
Have a fabulous day!!!

Joy's Life Mini Book Blog Hop

Hello everyone! Happy Sunday, and welcome to the Joy's Life Mini Book Blog Hop

You should have just come over from the fabulous Sarabeth's blog (Chronicles of Sarita)
If you just happened to stop by here today and have not seen this hop from the beginning, please join us in this super fun hop.  You can start right here at Joy's Life.com
You will find lots of great mini book inspiration!

I have to admit, I have never created a mini book/album before, so I was a bit scared to start this project. LOL!
There was A LOT of planning that went into this... definitely harder than I thought it would be. :)  I tell ya, I have  am in total awe of people who can create such beautiful mini's.  With that said, I THINK I still might try to do a few more in the future because I do think they are really fun. :)

So here is my first mini:

I am still looking for the perfect pictures of my hubby and I to add to this album, so the pages are empty right now. :(

I know it's a bit short, but the great thing about this album is, I can add pages to it VERY easily.

This stamp is from the Mother & Daughter stamp set:

This stamp is from Sweet Popsicle Puns:

This stamp is from Tag You're It - Set 1:

This sentiment stamp is from Lots of Pun and the heart image on the bag is from Tag You're It Set 1:

Now it wouldn't be as much fun without a little blog candy right??

Just leave me a comment on today's post, and I will pick a winner on Friday! Although I would LOVE for you to be a follower of my blog, you don't need to follow to win. :)

Now, just head on over to Joy's Life.com and let Joy know what you thought about the hop today!!

Thanks a Bundle - card using Spectrum Noir markers

Hello everyone!
Happy New Year to you all!
It is great to be back blogging again!  I hope you enjoyed the holidays.  I took some time off from crafting and spent more time with the family... it was great!!  Today I am sharing the card I created for my post at the Joy's Life Design Team blog. This week the DT is sharing projects we created using a new (to us) product.  I was really excited abou this because it forced me to play around with my Spectrum Noir markers I had purchased awhile back.  I have never used alcohol markers before, so I was a little intimidated, but it was surprisingly easy. :)  I really can't wait to color some more!!
So here is my FIRST EVER colored digi stamp card:

If you haven't tried alcohol markers before, I think you ought to give them a try!  It really takes coloring to a whole new level! :)

Supplies used:
Digital image:  KaDoodle Bug Designs (Ready Sled Go)
Stamped Sentiment: Joy's Life "Oh Christmas Puns"
Spectrum Noir markers
Papertrey Ink True Black
Stampin Up Felt Snowflake (retired)
Rhinestone from stash

Thanks for stopping by today! As always, I love and appreciate your comments. :) Have a CRAFTY DAY!! Lori
